Integrating Sphere Light Sources
Integrating sphere light sources with LED based or continuous broadband emission spectrum for use as luminance standards for camera calibration, for the determination of veiling glare, for the adjustment of night vision devices and much more. Diameters in the range from 50 mm to 500 mm with options like monitor detector, signal output control by manual and remote apertures and much more.
Gigahertz-Optik is since decades an expert in high quality uniform integrating sphere light sources in standard and specialist configurations. With our many modules out of the Integrating Sphere Construction Kit we are able to produce the configuration needed.
What can be designed at an integrating sphere light source?
- The sphere output port size and thus the sphere diameter itself as a basis
- Depending on the need for homogeneity the position of the light sources and the amount and bafflling (inhomogeneity 0.25% if needed)
- A high dynamic intensity control over many magnitudes of intensity by variable apertures
- Reference detectors suited to the control task (spectroradiometers, integral detectors)
- Additional ports for multiple uses e.g. fiber coupling, 2nd reference detector, etc.
- Calibration options and ISO 17025 testing of the sphere output (e.g. spectral radiance)
- Control by electronic device rack based or software controlled by PC
Resulting on this flexibility our integrating sphere light sources are used as:
- luminance standards (transfer standards)
- luminance sources for camera calibration
- light sources for the determination of veiling glare (e.g. of lenses)
- light sources for the adjustment of night vision devices
- light sources for bad pixel detection and white balance of cameras
We design uniform integrating sphere light sources with diameters from 50 mm to 500 mm exactly to match your needs and enable accuracy.
