UMPR
Port reducer for the port frames of the UM series modular construction integrating spheres. Features: Closure surface equal to the hollow sphere surface. Barium sulfate or synthetical coating. Trough-holes or knife-edge with different diameters. For use with UMPF port frames.
Modular integrating sphere concept
The modular integrating sphere concept from Gigahertz-Optik offers a high flexibility level when it comes to individual configuration of integrating spheres. In addition to the various components such as port frames, baffles and sockets that can be directly mounted onto the integrating sphere, port adapters with different functions are also offered.
Port reducers
Port reducers are used for reduction of free ports on port frames. The port reducers from Gigahertz-Optik have been designed such that they smoothly and completely fit onto the sphere surface. This helps prevent formation of shadows. The sphere side surface is coated with the same material as the sphere.
Free choice of the design and size
In addition to the usual round shape, port reducer openings can also have rectangular shapes or be adjusted to match the contours on the test sample. The hole diameter of the circular port reducers can be specified in 0.1mm steps. The edges of the opening can either be “knife-edge style” or even.
Dust and light protection caps
Dust and light protection caps are used to seal openings with port reducers during transport or when the sphere is not in use. The caps are made of black plastic material.
Integrating sphere light source with a rectangular illumination field.
UMPR with different edge designs
