The modular integrating sphere concept from Gigahertz-Optik offers a high flexibility level when it comes to individual configuration of integrating spheres. In addition to the various components such as port frames, baffles and sockets that can be directly mounted onto the integrating sphere, port adapters with different functions are also offered.
Port plugs
Port plugs are used to seal sphere ports that are not in use. The ports must be equipped with an UMPF port frame that enables fixation of the port plugs. The port plugs from Gigahertz-Optik have been designed such that they smoothly and completely fit onto the sphere surface. This helps prevent formation of shadows. The spherical surface is coated with the same material as the sphere.
